Etiquette on the Trains →
As I’ve discovered here, many big cities with train lines have similar problems with etiquette. My biggest pet peeve (people cutting their nails on the train) finally has a poster! Check out the link….

Rob's 30th Birthday →

Ah, the joy of translation
I was looking for an apartment rental in Fano, Italy for next summer and came across a cute little website. I’m guessing the owner had typed the ‘rules’ in Italian and then hit the Translate button. Here are a few of my favourite results:

Okay, so there may be only one person in all of London who reads this blog (thanks Will!) but I just have to rave about how fantastic the guy is who owns this bike shop. Gerard is honest, genuine and even plays in a good band. I think Rob might have a man-crush on him as well—I called him today and they were shopping together at the local hardware store!

Laughable Day
So I’m on day three of my really, really busy week of starting my new job and supervising a university student (5 days/week, for 5 weeks). All said—it’s been busy but not bad. So I came home tonight after work, ready to relax and plan tomrorow’s dinner that we’re (I’m) cooking for the neighbors. Steps away from my flat begins the awesome chain of events.
