Awesome from Sesame Street →
Our friend Matt did the animation for this—I want his job (and I really miss watching Sesame Street—it’s so hip now).  Update:  Be sure you link to “Forward and Backward” too.  It’s too great.

So I’m reading a book called The Brain That Changes Itself (Norman Doidge, M.D.) and it’s amazing!  I was so inspired that I got my friend Mason (who’d recommended the book) to suggest some brain exercise websites.  Just did day one on Lumosity (http://www.lumosity.com/) and it was really fun.  Try it out!

First Trip
We just booked two round trip tickets flying RyanAir for a long weekend in Parma, Bologna and Florence (Italy).  And the grand total…..$161 (oh yeah, that’s $80 roundtrip flights for each of us).  These are the things that will make gray days like these worth it!

Hands Across the World
A young British guy, an older Muslim woman, and I (the American girl) helped out a New Zealand guy who had gone into diabetic shock and, I believe, was having a seizure when we came across him.  With the help of Coca-Cola, Mars bars and orange juice, he recovered and was able to go home.  Actually a pretty cool experience—nice to see that everyone who walked past stopped to help and show...
