Okay, vacation update (wow, I’m really behind now…and have no excuse really). So on days 5, 6 and 7 of our vacation we were graciously hosted by our dear friend Agi and her family. She was home for Christmas and her family lives in the country in Poland (nearest big city is probably Poznan—and it is GORGEOUS). We participated in all of their Christmas traditions and ate so much delicious food. My new favorite dish is the fish soup they served on Christmas Eve. Agi’s sister and brother-in-law, who keep the stables on the family’s land, are both award-winning horse riders. The home and other buildings on the land were all carefully restored by Agi’s parents to their original beauty (with modern luxuries like steaming hot high-pressure showers thank goodness!). We are so grateful for their kindness…and dying to return in warmer months too.
